What materials are used for the netting?
We use high-performance, UV-stabilised, knotless netting designed for golf impact protection. It offers exceptional strength, durability, and a low-visibility appearance.
Do we need planning permission?
Most installations involving tall masts or towers require planning approval. We provide drawings, technical documents, and support throughout the planning process.
How long do netting systems and towers last?
High-quality netting typically lasts 10–15 years, while steel towers can last much longer. Lifespan depends on exposure, weather, and ongoing maintenance.
How high should the netting be?
Netting height depends on ball trajectory, tee elevation, course layout, and wind conditions. Typical installations range from 10m–35m. Our team assesses every site to recommend the correct height and specification.
Why do golf clubs install protective netting?
Protective netting prevents wayward balls from leaving the course or practice zones. It protects neighbouring properties, roads, vehicles, and the public—reducing risk, liability, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Are the towers engineered for safety?
Absolutely. All towers are structurally engineered and certified to withstand expected wind loads and environmental conditions at your site.
How long does installation take?
Installation can take from a few days to several weeks, depending on the scale of the project. We plan work carefully to minimise disruption to play.
Can play continue during installation?
